General Information

When you visit this website, personal data is processed only in the three cases described below. No analytics, advertising or profiling tools are used.

Contact Forms

Data submitted through the contact form (such as name, email address and message) is processed solely to respond to your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry relates to a contract or to steps taken before entering into one, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is responding to inquiries addressed to us. Submissions are stored on the servers of our hosting provider (see below). Data is deleted once your inquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Embedded LinkedIn Feed

This website can display a feed of our LinkedIn posts. The feed is not loaded automatically, but a consent banner asks whether you agree to the cookies it uses, and the feed is loaded only if you agree.

If you consent, your browser connects to servers of Elfsight to load the widget and its content. Your IP address, browser and device information and the time of access may be transmitted, and Elfsight may set a cookie (elfsight_viewed_recently) or store data in your browser.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, which you give through the consent banner. You can withdraw it at any time through the same banner.

Cookies

Your cookie choice is managed by Complianz (Complianz BV, Netherlands), which runs on our own hosting and transmits no data to third parties. It stores your choice in functional cookies and in your browser local storage so that you are not asked again; these are strictly necessary and are exempt from the consent requirement under Section 25(2) TDDDG. Apart from these, this website sets no cookies of its own. The only other cookies or comparable storage technologies are those of the LinkedIn feed described above.

Server Log Files

The hosting provider automatically processes technical server logs (IP address, date and time of access, the requested URL, browser type and version, operating system and, where transmitted, the referrer URL) pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the stability, security and technical delivery of the website. We do not combine this data with any other data, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Hosting Provider

This website is hosted on WordPress.com by Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA, which acts as our processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Server log data is stored for 30 days and then deleted automatically.

Transfers to Third Countries

Our hosting provider Automattic Inc. is established in the United States; transfers to Automattic are based on Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR. The transfer to Elfsight takes place only if you consent to loading the feed and is based on Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR.

Your Rights

Within the framework of the legal provisions, you have the following rights:
Access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection (Art. 21 GDPR).
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
